OFFICIAL 2006 TIME TRIAL CHAMPIONSHIP STANDINGS!

At the begining of this, Florida Region's inaugrual season, we began with just eleven competitors at the first event.  However, by last November and the final 2006 event, the NASA Florida Time Trials group more than doubled with over thirty drivers that competed in one or more Time Trial event.

Only five drivers participated in enough Regional Time Trial events to qualify for the Regional Championship.  To be eligible for Championship Status, a competitor must have competed in at least one half of the region's events that season.  This season a driver must have competed in at least eight events.

Although they did not attend enough events to qualify for the Championship, Steve Rosenthal; Neil Fairman; and, Flavio Quesada held the most points respectively in TTR.  Patrick O’Brien had the second most points in TTU with Robert Crook following.  In TTA, Patrick O’Brien and Liam O’Brien, father & son, held the most points with Guy Covington and new comer Jared McGullicuddy in a tie after them.  In TTC, Manny Platis deserves honorable mention for having the third most points in class.  Although he only attended five events, he took first place in each of those.  Nick Riefner accumulated the third most points in TTC, but only attended four events.  However, he placed first in three out of those four.

Thanks to everyone for a great first season.  We look forward to seeing all of you beginning with the first event of the 2007 season on December 30, 2006 at Homestead Motor Speedway.
